The French Insurance Federation (Fédération Française de l’Assurance – FFA) has several decision-making and consultation bodies: the General Meeting, the Executive Board, the Chairman’s Committee, the Insurance Board and 12 standing committees.
The decision-making bodies
The General Meeting
The General Meeting is made up of all the members of the French Insurance Federation.
The Executive Board
The Executive Board is made up of:
- the Chair elected by the General Meeting for three years,
- and twenty-three member companies.
The twenty-three members comprise the eighteen largest groups and companies in terms of turnover and five representatives of the other companies (a reinsurer, three mutual insurance companies and a public limited company).

The Chairman’s Committee
The Chairman’s Committee comprises the Chair and the three Vice-Chairs of the French Insurance Federation.

The Insurance Board
The Insurance Board is made up of directors of the French Insurance Federation’s member groups and companies.
The standing committees
The standing committees comprise an ethics standing committee and eleven working standing committees.
